Field Service | Low Voltage Technicians

​

As a member of our Low Voltage Technicians team you'll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing low voltage electrical systems and equipment. We work with a variety of systems, including security systems, access control systems, intercom systems, and audiovisual equipment.

Responsibilities of our technicians:

​

  1. Install, maintain, and repair low voltage electrical systems and equipment, including security systems, access control systems, and audiovisual equipment.

  2. Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with low voltage electrical systems and equipment, using specialized testing equipment and tools.

  3. Plan and coordinate the installation of low voltage electrical systems and equipment, ensuring that all work is completed according to specifications and within budget.

  4. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical documentation to ensure that all installations and repairs are completed correctly.

  5. Collaborate with other technicians, contractors, and project managers to ensure that all work is completed on time and to the satisfaction of clients.

  6. Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including work orders, maintenance logs, and inventory records.

  7. Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with applicable safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.

  8. Provide training and support to clients and end-users on the use of low voltage electrical systems and equipment.

  9. Stay up-to-date with new technologies and industry trends, and make recommendations for improvements to existing systems and equipment.

  10. Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders, providing clear and concise information on project status, timelines, and other important issues.

Requirements:

​

  1. A high school diploma or equivalent.

  2. Certification or training in low voltage electrical systems and equipment (preferred, not required)

  3. Experience working with security systems, access control systems, or audiovisual equipment.

  4. Strong technical skills, including the ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical documentation.

  5. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  8. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.

  9. Physical ability to climb ladders, lift heavy equipment, and work in confined spaces.

  10. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Compensation: 

 

Compensation for this position will be based on the candidate's level of experience and skillset. Performance-based bonuses are available after an Introductory Period of 90 days. During this time your performance will be monitored, and you will be trained on your job responsibilities.
